Certified TraditionThe Van Houtryve family has shaped the brewing history of Bruges, from a farm-brewery in Loppem in 1765 to the creation of the Den Os brewery in 1825.
It was at the dawn of the 20th century that their pride was born: a red-brown beer, deep and authentic, a reflection of the terroir of West Flanders.
Despite the closure of the original brewery in 1957, the recipe has endured through generations before making its grand return to Bruges in 2015. Now located just a stone's throw from its historic site, this iconic beer reconnects with its roots to embark on a new era.
The art of
Blending
Bourgogne des Flandres is a refined beer resulting from a subtle blend of a traditional brown beer Den Os and an aged lambic, creating a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.
The Lambic is brewed at the Timmermans brewery, which is also part of the Anthony Martin group.
